John 1:12 (NKJV)
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

Romans 8:15 - 17 (NKJV)
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bear witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we also may be glorified together.

Ephesians 1:3 - 5 (NKJV)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasure of His will.

Matthew 6:9 (NKJV)
"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name."

Is it not amazingly wonderful that when Jesus taught us how to pray that He instructed us to pray to our Father not His Father putting an exclamation point on the truth that we are sons and daughters of God, His beloved children, joint heirs with His Son Jesus Christ to His kingdom

A question that is often asked in the Christian community is "What is God's will for my life?" and the answer is straightforward and simple -  God wants us to be His family, His children, and for us to enjoy all of His benefits

Abba, Father we believe that Jesus is the Christ and therefore we are born of  You and by this we believe that we overcome the world by our faith and belief that Jesus is Your Son (1 John 5:1 - 5); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus who gives us the victory that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

1 Corinthians 14:28 (NKJV)
But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God.

John 13:13 (NKJV)
"You call Me Teacher and Lord and so you say well, for so I am."

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit - Listen to Them, for in Them is life and life more abundantly (John 10:10)

Romans 12:1 & 2 (NKJV)
I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Colossians 1:9 & 10 (NKJV)
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Know Him, know His will, know His love - Be filled with His fullness (Ephesians 3:19)

John 14:26 (NKJV)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Galatians 5:22 - 24 (NKJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Abba, Father our understanding being enlightened, that we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glory and the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe in You (Ephesians 1:18 - 19); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

1 Corinthians 14:4 (NKJV)
He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

As you pray invite His Spirit to be with you, to intercede on your behalf, to guide you into His truth and to tell you of things to come (John 16:13)

Romans 8:26 (NKJV)
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Luke 22:41 & 42 (NKJV)
And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, "Father, if it is Your will take this cup from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done."

In our weakest moments, in moments when doubt invades our hearts, and in moments when all we can do is cry, His Spirit defines for us His will and gives us clarity of choice

Abba, Father You have commanded us to never be afraid and promised to always be by our side (Joshua 1:9) and You gave us Your Spirit to dwell with us and to be in us as we journey through life (John 14:17), may our ears be attentive to Your teaching and may our spirit grow strong in our obedience to Your Spirit; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

John 17:20 - 24 (NKJV)
"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one; I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world."

Jesus prays for each of us - What a wonderful prayer - What a wonderful plan - Forever His children - Forever His family

Abba, Father You so loved each of us that You gave us Jesus that we would believe in Him and live with Him forever (John 3:16) and You patiently reach out to each of us not willing that any should perish but that each of us should come to repentance, forever to be Your family (2 Peter 3:9 and Ephesians 1:4 & 5); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Colossians 3:12 - 14 (NKJV)
Therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another: even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love which is the bond of perfection.

Psalm 27:7 & 8 (NKJV)
Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me and answer me. When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, LORD, I will seek."

I would like to believe that as I seek our Father I am standing tall with the love and joy of Jesus shining brightly from within me, but all to often I must confess that I am slowly crawling in His direction battered and bloody by the evils of this world

Psalm 100:5 (NKJV)
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

It is vitally important that we make the effort to seek our Father, but far, far more important to us is our recognition and understanding of what He has done and what He will do in our lives

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Abba, Father You saw us crawling Your way from a long way off and You ran to us and showered us with  Your magnificent blessings (Luke 15:20), You made us Your forever family (Ephesians 1:5), and You called us upward in Your Son Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:14); it is in His glorious name that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

John 15:11 (NKJV)
"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and your joy may be full."

Jesus spends the first 10 verses of John 15 telling us the importance of being connected to Him and then He says, "That My joy may remain in you and your joy may be full." What a great way to start each day filled to overflowing in the pure, pure joy of being head over heels in love with Jesus, purpose yourself this day and every day to share the joy of His love with others

Abba, Father there is no greater joy than being in love with You and embracing Your love for us, nothing, absolutely nothing of this world even comes close, Your love is the greatest (1 Corinthians 13:13), may we freely share our joy with others; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

God, our Father placed Himself upon the cross in the person of His Son, our Savior, the perfect Lamb, the final sacrifice, so that we would become the righteousness of Him in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), faultless in His presence (Jude 24)

Mark 16:6 & 7 (NKJV)
But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here, see the place where they laid Him. But go and tell His disciples - and Peter -  that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you."

There is a little bit of Peter in all of us, one minute standing tall and strong in our faith proclaiming the power of Jesus in our lives and the next minute hiding in the shadows our lives filled with fear. but thank You Jesus our Father loves us in both places and the more we draw close to Him the more our faith overcomes our fear and because He is Risen and because He lives in us all things do become possible in His strength (Mark 9:23 and Philippians 4:13)

Abba, Father because Jesus lives in us we in Your power overcome and conquer the evils of this world, because Jesus lives in us we walk in a manner most pleasing to You; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Matthew 18:19 & 20 (NKJV)
"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

Jesus with us

Abba, Father it is with exceeding joy that Jesus keeps us from stumbling as we journey through life here on earth so that He may present us faultless before You at the end of the journey (Jude 24); it is in the name of Jesus our Lord, Jesus our Savior, and Jesus our Friend that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Ephesians 1:17 - 20 (NKJV)
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.

We serve a Mighty, Mighty God who is our Father and greatly desires to do Mighty, Mighty things in our lives

Colossians 1:10 - 12 (NKJV)
That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

Because we believe in Jesus we are God's adopted beloved children, joint heirs with Jesus daily receiving His bountiful blessings

Abba, Father we Your humble and obedient children sing Your praises as we in Your strength journey through life pleasing You, knowing You, embracing You, and loving You; it is with thankful hearts and in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

John 11:25 & 26 (NKJV)
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

Of all the promises God gives us, this is at the top of the list, forever those who believe in Jesus will live in His presence, perfected in His love, His beloved children (Revelation 21:3 & 4), and yet as we grow older, as the darkness of the world swirls around us, as friends and neighbors and even ourselves are struck down by sickness and disease from the world in which we live, it becomes difficult to correctly answer the question Jesus asked Martha, "Do you believe this?"

Jesus is life and satan is death (John 10:10) and because we serve a Risen Lord and Savior death has lost its sting (1 Corinthians 15:57)

On Good Friday afternoon I prayed with a man whose liver was being torn to pieces by cancer, I asked him one question, "Do you believe in Jesus?" and I asked him to do one thing, "Keep his eyes firmly fixed on Jesus!" The man died Sunday morning, "Resurrection Sunday." I believe that he believes

Abba, Father You are not slack concerning Your promise, You are long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, may the world see the pure joy of Jesus in us and may they hear and understand our testimonies; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Romans 8:11 (NKJV)
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

In Jesus is life (John 1:4), life abundant (John 10:10) and life everlasting (John 3:16)

Abba, Father in Jesus we have understanding, in Jesus we have truth, in Jesus we are Your forever children (1 John 5:20); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

John 8:12 (NKJV)
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

Colossians 1:13 - 15 (NKJV)
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Jesus defines the separation between light and darkness, between good and evil, between life and death

Jesus is light, Jesus is good, Jesus is life

Choose this day - JESUS!

Genesis 1:1 - 4 (NKJV)
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

The first prophetic statement about Jesus - Then God said, "Let there be JESUS!"

Abba, Father in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:1 -5), thank You Father for Jesus; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, our Light, our Life that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Luke 15:20 (NKJV)
"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him."

Jesus tells this beautiful story about how a father yearns for the return of his wayward son, searching the landscape each and every day, hopeful of his return, and on the wonderful day of his return the father spies him from far away and runs to greet him, there is no bitterness, there is no anger, there is no regret, there is only love and forgiveness, a child has come home

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

The love and forgiveness of our Father God is truth - The grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus is noble - The judgment of our Father God is just - The joy of our Lord Jesus is pure - The peace of our Father God is lovely - That we are His beloved children is a good report

Abba, Father for You so loved the world that You gave Your only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus who made it possible for us to be in Your family forever that we rejoice and pray. Amen

Matthew 17:5 - 8 (NKJV)
While he (Peter) was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid." When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

God says - "Hear Him!" because we are His beloved children and it is His will for us to have His best - His beloved Son Jesus Christ

Jesus says - "Arise, and do not be afraid." because He came for us to have life and to have it more abundantly (John 10:10) -  Jesus is the remedy to all issues of life and His greatest joy is for each of us to successfully complete our earthly journey (Jude 24)

Abba, Father how wonderful it is to be Your beloved children, You have given us Your Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is all we will ever need (Revelation 1:11) and Your Holy Spirit who guides us in all truth (John 16:13), we are so blessed and so thankful; it is in the name of Jesus, the name above all names, that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Matthew 3:16 & 17 (NKJV)
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

The apostle Paul tells us that after the baptism God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil and God was with Him (Acts 10:37 & 38) - Jesus was about His Father's work, as we are about God's work, we are guided by the Holy Spirit (John 16:13), we are His children (Ephesians 1:5), and we are pleasing to Him (Colossians 1:11)

Abba, Father we have freely received Your Son Jesus Christ, may we now freely give as we walk according to His teaching (Matthew 10:7 & 8) so that many will come to know You (Acts 9:35 & 42); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Titus 2:11 - 14 (NKJV)
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Ephesians 1:11 - 13 (NKJV)
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Abba, Father our trust is in You (Proverbs 3:5), we are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28), You have a wonderful plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11), and You are our eternal hope (John 3:16); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me," says the LORD.

A friend of mine shared this with me last Tuesday night, as spirit filled born again believers in Jesus Christ we are both servants of God and His heirs and as such we can and should use this scripture to stand on when we battle weapons of the world such as sickness, disease, poverty, etc. And for those ignorant fools that dare to strike out against the nation of Israel, your day is coming

Romans 8:16 & 17 (NKJV)
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Be bold when you pray, proclaim your heritage, you are members of the Royal family sanctified by Jesus Christ (Hebrews 2:11)

Abba, Father may we boldly proclaim our heritage, may all know that we are Your children standing tall, we are more than conquerors because You love us (Romans 8:37); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Protector Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Jesus gives each of us the opportunity to choose and when we choose Him (Romans 10:9 & 10) we become new in Him, all of our old lives have passed away, we are born a second time and become Him in the eyes of God

Revelation 21:3 & 4 (NKJV)
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no  more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

The question for each of us is do we want to become new here on this earth, do we desire for the all the old to pass away and for others here on this earth to see Jesus in us - know this, that is also God's desire, only the devil wants to keep you mired in the muck of life, to destroy you and all those around you

Abba, Father may each of us know the love of Jesus so that we will know the fullness of You (Ephesians 3:19) and may each of us answer the upward call of You in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
