Matthew 17:5 - 8 (NKJV)
While he (Peter) was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid." When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
God says - "Hear Him!" because we are His beloved children and it is His will for us to have His best - His beloved Son Jesus Christ
Jesus says - "Arise, and do not be afraid." because He came for us to have life and to have it more abundantly (John 10:10) - Jesus is the remedy to all issues of life and His greatest joy is for each of us to successfully complete our earthly journey (Jude 24)
Abba, Father how wonderful it is to be Your beloved children, You have given us Your Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is all we will ever need (Revelation 1:11) and Your Holy Spirit who guides us in all truth (John 16:13), we are so blessed and so thankful; it is in the name of Jesus, the name above all names, that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
