Romans 10:9 & 10 (NKJV)
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Mark 16:17 & 18 (NKJV)
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues: they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover."

A valuable self analysis tool for those who believe in Jesus is to ask yourself this question: "Does my life bear evidence of my salvation?"

Abba, Father the devil and all of his evil will be overcome by the blood of Jesus and the words of our testimony (Revelation 12:11); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

John 16:13 (NKJV)
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak and He will tell you things to come."

Abba, Father may we be spiritually minded (Romans 8:6) and may we prosper in all things and be in health (3 John 2) because our eyes are fixed on You and our minds are filled with Your truth; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Hebrews 10:35 & 36 (NKJV)
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

James 1:2 - 4 (NKJV)

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

John 4:34 (NKJV)
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work."

Abba, Father our trust is in You (Proverbs 3:5), You are the rewarder of us who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6), and we will call upon You and You will answer us (Psalm 91:15); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:13 - 18 (NKJV)
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able quench the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

You never have to face life alone - God has armed you with His truth, His righteousness, His peace, His faith, His salvation,  and His promises - And fully armed by Him nothing of this world can defeat you

Abba, Father we face each day with You by our side armed to the hilt with all of Your wonderful promise and with the words of Your Son ringing joyously in our ears - "You deliver us from the evil one," (Matthew 6:13); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Protector Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Romans 8:26 - 30 (NKJV)
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, He also justified, and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Jude 24 (NKJV)
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

Know this - We do not walk on this earth alone - We have Jesus and we have the Holy Spirit - Both purposed that we might make our way prosperous and have good success (Joshua 1:8)

Abba, Father life with You is good, we have Your Son whom proclaimed, "I have come that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10), and we have Your Spirit who guides us into all truth and who tells of things to come (John 16:13); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18 (NKJV)
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Jude 20 & 21 (NKJV)
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Abba, Father with thankful hearts we rejoice continually in Your love, with eyes always lifted upward seeking ways to be about Your work, led by Your Spirit with confident trust in Your forever promise; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Philippians 4:6 & 7 (NKJV)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Nothing is worth your worry, your concern, your anxiety - you have a Father God and a Brother Jesus who stand ready to replace it with Their compassion, comfort, joy and peace - They will surround  you with Their love that will never fail you

1 Peter 5:6 & 7 (NKJV)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Abba, Father may we no longer look down or within, but may we forever look up, for You have given us a remedy to every issue of life and His name is Jesus Christ in whose glorious name we pray. Amen.

Jesus Loves You

John 3:16 (NKJV)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Be known as His disciple - share His love with others - John 13:34 & 35

Ephesians 3:19 (NKJV)
Know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Abba, Father may we this day and each day after share Your great love with all we know as we embrace Your gift to us, a gift no words could fully describe, Your Son, our Lord and our Savior, Christ Jesus in whose wonderful name we pray. Amen.

Romans 5:5 - 10 (NKJV)
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies  we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

John 16:13 (NKJV)
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."

This is the Truth - Jesus loves you - And there is nothing you can do to keep Him from loving you

Abba, Father we are persuaded that nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:39), You have given us Jesus the perfect Model for how to live a victorious life and You have given us Your Spirit to daily speak Your truth into our lives, may we this day and each day forward embrace Your love and be filed with Your fullness (Ephesians 3:19); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus, the One who loves us, that we pray. Amen.

Luke 4:40 & 41 (NKJV)
When the sun was setting, all those who had  any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons also came out of many crying out and saying, You are the Christ, the Son of God!" And He rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.

Luke 6:17 - 19) (NKJV)
And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

Jesus Heals! He healed then and He heals today and He will always heal

Seek Him - Embrace Him - Hear His words - Speak His words - Believe Him

Abba, Father as Your Son instructed us, "All things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer that we pray and believe. Amen.

Luke 15:20 - 24 (NKJV)
"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And began to be merry."

I often think on this scripture as flash backs of my aimless wandering the first 43 years of life on this earth until that wonderful day in October, 1987 when I heard from God, and I chose to make Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior, that my Father God had watched every wrongful step I had taken but never once stopped loving me (Romans 8:39) and He turned to all the saints in heaven and proclaimed, "Douglas was once dead in the darkness of the world but now he is alive in the love of My Son (Colossians 1:13 & 14), he was once lost to the sins of his flesh but is now found in My Amazing Grace (2 Corinthians 5:17 - 21); so let the merriment continue, rejoice as Our family grows." And from that day forward my life has been filled with His joy (John 15:11), His peace (John 15:27) and His love (John 3:16)

Abba, Father I am so thankful that nothing we do can keep You from loving us and that You give us Your Spirit and Your Son to guide us through life and tell us the truth (John 14:6  and John 16:13), it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Matthew 8:1 - 3 (NKJV)
When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing You can make me clean." Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him saying, "I am willing, be cleansed." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Jesus is willing to heal us both spiritually and physically

Abba, Father we thank You and pray as Your Son taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Psalm 23:1 - 3 (NKJV)
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.  He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.

1 John 5:4 & 5 (NKJV)
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Psalm 23:5 & 6 (NKJV)
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

1 Peter 2:9 & 10(NKJV)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now a people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Matthew 28:20b (NKJV)
I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.

Abba, Father what more can we say, we have Jesus and in Him we have You, Your love and Your forgiveness both here on this earth and forever with You in heaven; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Colossians 1:9 - 14 (NKJV)
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

As Paul prayed we also should pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ

Abba, Father we have a Savior, Your Son Jesus Christ, we have a Lord, Your Son Jesus Christ, and we have a Friend, Your Son, our Brother Christ Jesus, and that make You, our Father. Amen.

Mark 5:28, 29 & 34 (NKJV)
For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well." Immediately, the fountain of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction... And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed in your affliction."

Matthew 14:35 & 36 (NKJV)
And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well.

Was there magic in the clothes that Jesus wore - Certainly not - But there was power within the man, Jesus, who wore the clothes and power within the people who by faith reached out to touch Him

Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Abba, Father may we today and every day after stretch our faith to reach and touch Your Glory that we might be filled with the fullness of You (Ephesians 3:19) and that we may be healed and made whole both physically and spiritually; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Mark 8:34 & 35 (NKJV)
When He had called the people to Himself with His disciples also, He said to them, "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it."

Following Jesus in today's world with all of its issues and distractions, not to mention the evil which abounds can be difficult, but Jesus gives us a Helper (John 14:16 & 17), a guide (John 16:13) and a promise to always keep us upright (Jude 24)

Galatians 5:22 - 25 (NKJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

And life's journey with Jesus is so very, very much better

Abba, Father may our daily walk be pleasing in Your sight and may we daily be about Your work, but if and when we stumble and stray we thank You for Your Spirit who both corrects and guides us back to the correct path; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

John 5:19 (NKJV)
Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner."

Jesus, the Son, observes God, the Father, and does what ever He sees the Father do

John 15:5 & 7 (NKJV)
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing...If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."

Jesus. our Lord, tells us, His brothers and sisters, to stay connected to  Him, to observe and do the things He does and says, and as we do that all things will be possible and we can have the desires of our heart because our heart will be filled and overflowing with His words, but without him we can do nothing

Abba, Father may we daily be imitators of You and Your Son Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:1), purposed to do the things we observe You to do, and may we daily be attentive to Your words and Your Truth as it is revealed to us by Your Holy Spirit, may we be Your faithful and obedient children and may our walk be pleasing in Your sight; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Acts 10:36 - 38 (NKJV)
"The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ - He is Lord of all - that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."

God our Father was with Jesus as He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil

John 14:12 (NKJV)
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."

John 14:16 & 17 (NKJV)
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."

God our Father is with us and as Jesus proclaimed we must go about doing all that He did for we have been anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power

Abba, Father as Your Son Jesus Christ did when He laid His hands upon the sick and healed them, in Your power we must do also (Luke 4:40); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Jeremiah 17:7 & 8 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and  will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Proverbs 3:5 & 6 (NKJV)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Abba, Father our trust is in You, You strengthen us and direct us, our lives bear fruit and the world knows us as Your disciple (John 15:7 & 8); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Isaiah 44:20 (NKJV)
He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, "Is there not a lie in my right hand."

Satan is the father of all lies, he is the master deceiver, his focus is always to fill your mind with thoughts of every wrong ever committed against you and to fill your heart with bitterness and unforgiveness because he knows that if he is successful doing that you will be effectively blocked from hearing God's voice

Philippians 3:13 & 14 (NKJV)
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

No matter how horrific your past God your Father says I remember it no more and I want you to do the same, I love you and I forgive you and I desire for you to  walk in My love and My forgiveness, bitterness will paralyze you but My love will perfect you (Colossians 3:14), I have a plan for your life and it is a good plan (Jeremiah 29:11) and I have called you upward where you will prosper (Psalm 1:3), conquer (Romans 8:37) and overcome (1 John 5:5)

Abba, Father, You are the First and the Last, besides You there is no God, You are the one True God, and You are our Father (Isaiah 44:6);
It is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Mountain Climbing with God my Father

I climb this mountain before me, not knowing what is on the other side; with one step at a time, God my Father as my guide. I continually ask Him where to go, what lies ahead, and He simply replies, you are My beloved child, just follow Me, step in My steps.
My heart is racing, I am almost out of breath, my Father says do not
look down, always look up and look ahead. He says you see it is not where you have been, it is not even where you step next, it is You and I together, you my child, simply knowing. Knowing that if you fall I will catch you, knowing that if you stumble I will pick you up, knowing that I will never ever leave your side. And even if  you choose to go your own way, I will leave the ninety nine for you who went astray. Knowing that no matter how big the mountain seems to you, no matter how long you have faced the mountain in your life, no matter how impossible the climb seems to you, know that all things are possible with Me by your side. I AM your FATHER and I AM your everlasting guide. I know the proper trails, failure is not an option, and victory is assured and when the climb is done just sing My praises and tell all you know your story.

Written by my brother in Christ Rod Hicks, inspired by the Holy Spirit
