Luke 15:20 - 24 (NKJV)
"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And began to be merry."

I often think on this scripture as flash backs of my aimless wandering the first 43 years of life on this earth until that wonderful day in October, 1987 when I heard from God, and I chose to make Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior, that my Father God had watched every wrongful step I had taken but never once stopped loving me (Romans 8:39) and He turned to all the saints in heaven and proclaimed, "Douglas was once dead in the darkness of the world but now he is alive in the love of My Son (Colossians 1:13 & 14), he was once lost to the sins of his flesh but is now found in My Amazing Grace (2 Corinthians 5:17 - 21); so let the merriment continue, rejoice as Our family grows." And from that day forward my life has been filled with His joy (John 15:11), His peace (John 15:27) and His love (John 3:16)

Abba, Father I am so thankful that nothing we do can keep You from loving us and that You give us Your Spirit and Your Son to guide us through life and tell us the truth (John 14:6  and John 16:13), it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
