John 11:25 & 26 (NKJV)
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?
 
Of all the promises God gives us, this is at the top of the list, forever those who believe in Jesus will live in His presence, perfected in His love, His beloved children (Revelation 21:3 & 4), and yet as we grow older, as the darkness of the world swirls around us, as friends and neighbors and even ourselves are struck down by sickness and disease from the world in which we live, it becomes difficult to correctly answer the question Jesus asked Martha, "Do you believe this?"
 
Jesus is life and satan is death (John 10:10) and because we serve a Risen Lord and Savior death has lost its sting (1 Corinthians 15:57)
 
On Good Friday afternoon I prayed with a man whose liver was being torn to pieces by cancer, I asked him one question, "Do you believe in Jesus?" and I asked him to do one thing, "Keep his eyes firmly fixed on Jesus!" The man died Sunday morning, "Resurrection Sunday." I believe that he believes
 
Abba, Father You are not slack concerning Your promise, You are long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, may the world see the pure joy of Jesus in us and may they hear and understand our testimonies; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
