God's Promises for You

The Book of Mark

September 1, 2017

Mark 1:17 (NKJV)
Then Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men."

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Each day and every day we are called to tell others about Jesus

Mark 3:34 & 35 (NKJV)
And He (Jesus) looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother."

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. (Romans 8:16 & 17)

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God."  (Revelation 21:3)

We are God's beloved family

Mark 4:37 & 38 (NKJV)
And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He (Jesus) was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

With a promise such as this, why would we ever doubt Jesus, no matter what we saw with our eyes?

Mark 4:39 & 40 (NKJV)
Then He (Jesus) arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?"

The Doctor says, "You have cancer and based on our tests you have less than six months to live - fear overcomes us and all our hopes and dreams crumble before our eyes

And Jesus says, "How is it that you have no faith, I came so that you would have life and have it more abundantly!" (John 10:10)

Mark 6:56 (NKJV)
Wherever He (Jesus) entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9:23)

Do you believe that Jesus wants you Healed and Whole?

Mark 8:6 - 9 (NKJV)
So He (Jesus) commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, brook them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them. So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of left-over fragments. Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away.

And My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! (Philippians 4:19)

Moses asked God this question, "Who should I say sent me?" and God, our loving Father answered this way, "Tell them 'I AM' sent you!"

Mark 10:26 (NKJV)
But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible."

Often in my daily travels I drive past a very large building, probably 20 floors, and boldly displayed on the building is this, "Texas Children's Hospital" and I cry, for in this building are thousands of sick children who should be running and playing; please understand these children are getting the very best that we can provide for them, but what they are not getting is the best that God can give them, for with Him all things are possible - complete and total healing for each and every child

And Jesus said to us, "I will come and heal them!" (Matthew 8:7)

Mark 11:24 (NKJV)
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him (God our Father), that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

We have been created in the image of God our Father (Genesis 1:26) - The question for each of to ask is, " Do we live like it!"

Mark 14:36 (NKJV)
And He (Jesus) said (as He prayed), "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will."

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)

His (Jesus) greatest joy is to present us faultless before the Father at the end of our earthly journey (Jude 24)

Mark 16:17 & 18 (NKJV)
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak  with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

"Most assuredly, I (Jesus) say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and  greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." (John 14:12)

"If you ask anything in My (Jesus) name I will do it." (John  14:14)

Abba. Father it is in Your Word that we trust, upon Your Word we build our faith, and it is Your Spirit that guides us daily in Your truth; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen
