God's Promises for You

The Book of Luke

Luke 1:34 - 38 (NKJV)
Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be since I do not know a man?" And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible."

Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

The world would be better if each of us would daily pray these words, "Behold Your humble servant, let it be to me according to Your Word!"

Luke 4:31 - 34 (NKJV)
Then He (Jesus) went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbath. And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority. Now in the synagogue there was a man who had a  spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? I know who You are - the Holy One of God!" But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him.

Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38)

Luke 4:38 & 39 (NKJV)
Now He arose form the synagogue and entered Simon's house. But Simon's wife's mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

When we are healed by Jesus there is no lingering aftereffects, we are Healed and Whole and ready to serve in His kingdom

Luke 4:40 (NKJV)
When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him: and He laid His hand on every one of them and healed them.

Jesus never tires of serving us - He makes each of us Healed and Whole - receive it

Luke 6:17 & 18 (NKJV)
And He (Jesus) came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

Jesus came that we would have Life and Life Abundant (John 10:10)

Luke 8:22 - 25 (NKJV)
Now it happened, on a certain day, that He (Jesus) got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." And they launched out. But as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him and awoke Him, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" Then He arose and rebuked the wind and  the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. But He said to them, "Where is your faith?"

Our faith is believing that when we are with Jesus we are safe, He overcomes the world and we overcome the world because we believe that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5:4 &5)

Luke 9:13 - 17 (NKJV)
But He (Jesus) said to them, "You (His disciples) give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people." For there were about five thousand men. Then He said to His disciples, "Make them sit down in groups of fifty." And they did so, and made them all sit down. Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.

Jesus provides, His baskets of provision are always full and overflowing

Luke 11:27 & 28 (NKJV)
And it happened, as He (Jesus) spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!" But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it."

God told Joshua, "Meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (Joshua 1:8)

Luke 12:22 & 23 (NKJV)
Then He (Jesus) said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing."

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6 & 7)

Luke 13:18 & 19 (NKJV)
Then He (Jesus) said, "What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches."

Feed on God's Word and His blessings will overtake you (Deuteronomy 28:2)

Luke 15:20 (NKJV)
"And he (the lost son) arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him."

God our Father and Jesus His Son never give up on us, their greatest desire is for us be a part of their family, to be joint heir with Jesus to all God has to offer

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Now to Him (Jesus) who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His (God our Father) glory with exceeding joy. (Jude 24)

Abba, Father thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ, He is our Healer, He is our Provider, He is our Protector, and He is our Deliverer and it is His wonderful name, the name that is above all other names, that we rejoice and pray each and every day. Amen.
