14 days of the Love of Jesus

Jesus loves you, this you know, for the Bible tells you so

Matthew 20:26 - 28 (NKJV)
"Yet it shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Jesus set the bar throughout His ministry on this earth, His servants heart was always visible, He was there for the poor, He was there for the brokenhearted, He was there for the captives, He was there for the blind, He was there for  the oppressed (Luke 4:18), and most importantly He was there for you and I (John 3:16). Should not our lives reflect the Heart of Jesus as we serve others?

Luke 15:20 (NKJV)
"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him."

As we read this parable closely we gain insight that the father was not searching for the son because the son decided to come home, but rather he was searching daily for the son hoping and praying that he would decide to come home, and when the father spied the returning son from a long way off he ran to the son with joy in his heart because his son who was lost was now returning home and he showered his son with all of the best he had. Our Father God is the same way, no matter how lost we are, no matter how corrupted we have become, God is always searching for us with a hopeful and expectant heart and when He sees us heading His way He races to meet us, His heart filled with Love and Joy, ready to pour out His best upon us - Jesus!

Abba Father may each of us daily grow in our understanding of Your great love for us and let no opportunity no matter how small pass us by as we show others the love of Jesus by being Your humble and faithful servants; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
