14 Days of the Love of Jesus

Jesus loves you, this you know, because the Bible tells you so

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8a (NKJV)
Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails!

God's love never fails, neither should ours, we can do all things in His strength (Philippians 4:13)

Colossians 3:12 - 14 (NKJV)
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

We are called by Jesus each day to love and forgive others as He loves and forgives us, doing so will fill your life with His peace and His joy. Trust Him.

Abba Father may we walk daily in a manner that pleases You (Colossians 1:10), may we each day say no to the world and yes to Jesus and may His love be seen in us; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

14 Days of the Love of Jesus

Jesus loves you, this you know, because the Bible tells you so

John 13:34 & 35 (NKJV)
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Jesus does not just request that we love one another the way He loves us, He, the King of kings, our Risen Lord and Savior, commands that we love one another the way He loves us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus is the sin eraser, He did it upon the Cross, He does it today, and He will do it tomorrow, and He does it with His unconditional love. Kenneth Copeland sings a beautiful song entitled, "When He was on the Cross I was on His mind," and one line in the song says, "He knew me, Yet He loved me." Jesus commands us to do the same thing, allow our love for one another to go beyond our knowledge of one another. He did it for us, He gives us the strength to do it for others.

Abba Father may we this day and every day forward, strive to walk in the love of Jesus, forgetting both the pain we have received and the pain that we have given, and allowing the love of Jesus to flow through us to all the others in our life; it is in the name of  our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
