2 Corinthians 9:6 - 8 (NKJV)
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap  bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Galatians 6:6 - 10 (NKJV)
Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

There is a lot more to giving than writing the check, let your heart be open to the opportunity to serve others, as Jesus said, "Even I came to serve and not to be served." (Matthew 20:28).

Abba, Father You have given and continue to give, Your provision is without question, may our hearts be open to the needs of those around us, that Your love, forgiveness, and compassion be known to all; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
