Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

A lady was lying in a hospital bed barely alive, her family had been advised that hospice was the next step, and then a man entered the room and knelt beside her bed, and holding her feeble hand, he whispered these words into her ear, "Please repeat these words with me, 'I am strong in the Lord!' " and together they began to say those words, "I am strong in the Lord!" At first the voice of the lady was very, very feeble, but as they continued together her voice grew stronger and later that day she smiled at the man and said to him, "You can go now, my faith is restored and I will continue to repeat, 'I am strong in the Lord!'" And several days later the lady walked out of the hospital not to go to hospice but to resume her life and for many more years she was a testimony that "She would live and not die and declare the works of the LORD." (Psalm 118:17)

Matthew 8:5 - 7 (NKJV)
Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him pleading with Him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented." And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."

Each of us has the opportunity to be a centurion for someone else, God has equipped each of to do great and mighty things in His kingdom (John 14:12) and in His strength (Philippians 4:13) and in our belief (Mark 9:23) all things are possible

Abba, Father life on this earth is not a walk of peace and joy as is Your will, for all too many our enemy has done his best to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) and for many, many evil lurks at every turn as the devil walks about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:7), but we in You have the ability to stand in the gap, to turn the tide of evil into the awareness of Your truth, to shine Your light into the darkness of the world, to convey Your love, Your forgiveness, Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope to all You send our way, we can answer Your upward call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, our Guide to life abundant Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
