Galatians 5:19 - 21 (NKJV)
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, reveries, and the like; of which I tell your beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

The devil wants to convince you that works of your flesh are natural byproducts of your past, an angry father, an addicted mother, a perverted relative who molested you, that it is not your fault, but that is just a lie, and he is the father of all lies

Galatians 5:22 - 24 (NKJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

You have a choice and your choice is Jesus and when you choose Jesus you receive the FRUIT of the Spirit, not just love, not just joy, not just peace, but the entire package - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - You are no longer who you used to be, you are now who He says you are

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Abba, Father we choose this day to humbly and obediently follow Jesus, to walk worthy of Him, fully pleasing Him, fruitful in every good work and daily increasing in the knowledge of You (Colossians 1:10); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
