Welcome evangelism volunteers to Operation Care International 2017 Christmas Party for Jesus - December 16, 2017.
We will be sharing the gospel with approximately 25,000 homeless people. Please consider a special time of prayer and fasting leading up to the event…this will give you the best chance to be as prepared as possible.
When: Saturday December 16, 2017
Time Commitment:IDEAL: arrive at the registration area no later than 7:00 am and leave for home no later than 4:00 pm. The location for registration is shown on Floor Plan and Parking and Convention Site Plan.

What to do before the event Training:
Gather Guest information on Survey. Guests will fill-out grey shaded area. Volunteers will be introduced to guest and be seated in assembly area. Volunteer will check the spiritual condition of the guest or family by asking questions from the survey and recording answers. Be sure to write guest's name at the top of the survey. All evangelism volunteers must record information under grey shaded area and record number of salvations in the upper right hand corner. Tear survey along perforation and give to guest "Who is God and Who is Jesus." Escort guest to HELPS area if needed and take guest to exit and deposit results in box labeled SOULS.
Study Evangelism Survey. This is on the inside of the form. Each guest will bring survey with them. Others before you will have assisted our guests in filling out the form. Your job is to pray for guests and present the gospel. Please become familiar with it between now and Saturday. This is the most important thing you will be doing!! Survey will be .

We will cover everything else you need to know during our 2 orientation sessions on Saturday morning. Session # 1 starts at 7:00 am and Session # 2 starts at 8:00 am. SINGLE ADULTS will meet in Section D and FAMLIES will meet in Section F. Both sessions effectively cover the same material…it’s just that Session # 1 is more thorough and quieter.
What to do before the event Registration:
Volunteers must register on-line: https://www.operationcareinternational.org/ (Check adult evangelism or family evangelism)
Then, click on “VOLUNTEER” on the tool bar up top to register.
When you see the drop down box click “VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES”
Click on EITHER Evangelism for Homeless Adults OR Evangelism for Families and follow the instructions.

The Day of the Event…Schedule Breakdown:
Where: Dallas Convention Center - 650 S Griffin St, Dallas, TX 75202-5098. (D, E, and F are located on the west side of S. Griffin).

Parking:See Parking and Convention Site Plan for options. Volunteer Parking options. Please plan to arrive at your parking spot by 6:45 am. You might also consider taking the DART rail which drops off at the other end of the convention center, although you would have to check DART for time schedules. Both the DART Red and Blue lines come to the Dallas Convention (Union Station). Convention parking will open at 5:30AM.
What to wear: We will be indoors but getting from your car to the entry will likely require a coat (check forecast as we approach the time). We are asking you to wear a red shirt or red jacket or red sweatshirt so you will be identified as a volunteer. You may purchase the official OCI red tee shirts when you arrive at the Registration area for $10 depending on size. See Dress Code for the official event dress code.
Drink & Food: Water will be provided in our work area. Food - you can enjoy OCI provided lunch in the food service area near the main stage, or bring a sack lunch.
