The Joshua Knight Story

JoshuaKnight

My name is Joshua Knight. I own Knight Air, a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC) service company.

I have an electronics certificate from Collin County Community College, and an Associate of Arts degree in Applied Science from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas. I served as an apprenticeship with Wiggin's Heating and Air in Emory, Texas. At the end of my apprenticeship, Michael Wiggin helped me start my own HVAC business. After five years, the business is thriving.

My new business partner is well known, and God has helped other men to be successful in the marketplace. I would like to tell you my story on how my new partner helped me. I was born and raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas, in a Pentecostal family that was at church every time the doors were open. I was called to the ministry at a young age, but I didn't want anything to do with the ministry. I felt like doing my own thing, and as a result, I began to live a life of fleshly indulgence. It wasn't long before I began to experiment with drug use nightly until I was completely addicted to cocaine and heroin. That began a seventeen-year cycle of drug use and eight years of prison. Drugs had fried my brain. I was eventually convicted of six aggravated robberies and I was sentenced to fifteen years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

I served eight years of a 15 year sentence. After seven years, the Lord spoke to my heart and began to deal with me about coming home. It was then that I made a decision to turn my heart and my life over to Jesus Christ. Shortly after that, Jesus filled me with the Holy Spirit, He launched me back into the ministry.

On December 24, 2009, I made a decision to give my heart to Christ. It was the best decision I've ever made in my life. Jesus began to supernaturally heal my mind. For five years, I could not read a book for more than five minutes. After submitting my life to Christ, He healed my mind and gave me a sharp mind. I started college and made straight A's in every class. I was living Romans 12:2, “But be transformed by the renewing of your mind…!” As God continued to heal my mind, He also started to heal my relationships with people I hurt, during my years of addiction, like my parents, grandparents, and others.

It amazed me to think that I now have the opportunity to work and speak all over the country. I can now evangelize the lost people that were just like me. I know what it is to misuse your potential. I know what it is to loose everything!

The only way I could ever start back on a road of recovery was through Jesus Christ.

Since then Christ has allowed me to hold many positions in the Church body, from Bible study, youth pastor and eventually, Senior Pastor, and now I oversee New Life Greenville Church.

The Lord Jesus Christ has given me many opportunities to share my testimony across the nation. But most of all, God has showed me great favor in my own business. After getting out of prison, God opened the door for me to be placed in the air conditioning trade. I worked hard at learning the trade, and eventually owned my own business.

On my journey as a businessman and minister, I have experienced many things. But the thing I really enjoy the most is watching the Holy Spirit work in the lives of people that need hope. We have seen many miracles take place, many healings, and many deliverances. If it had not been for the Lord, where would I be today? I give all the glory to Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.

If you are reading this and have not made a decision to follow Christ, I can tell you, “Don't wait another minute!” It will be the best decision you make in your life.
