Where is Armageddon?

According to the Book of Revelation, the future “battle on the great day of God the Almighty” will take place at Armageddon (Rev. 16:16). While the word “Armageddon” itself is Greek, before being a Greek word it was in fact a Hebrew phrase - "Har Meggido". Har (הר) in Hebrew is a mountain, so the meaning of this phrase is: “Mountain of Meggido.” Meggido was an artificial hill (still in existence today) which Solomon's northern cavalry used to guard the borders of his kingdom

Capernaum?

Armageddon is just one example of transliteration that took place in the Greco-Roman world. "Capernaum", for example, is mentioned in all four gospels as the name of the place where Jesus spent a lot of his earthly ministry. For many centuries, before being transliterated into Greek, this place was simply “Kfar Nahum” meaning “Nahum’s Village” in Hebrew.
