Billy Bob Burge – Delivered from Occult Practices

Billy Bob Burge – Delivered from Occult Practices

The Ouija board became a source of direction and answers for my family.

Growing up, my mom and my sisters were Ouija board users. I mention this, because the Ouija board became a source of direction and answers for my family. I have seen and experienced first-hand the board’s addiction and deception. As a child, seeing the Planchette move on its own across the board was creepy. But it was the visible demonic manifestations that finally brought the smashing of the board.

Users, “Christian” and non-Christian, continue to be misled by the demonic prowess of the Ouija board. According to research by, there has been an uptake in the use of Ouija boards. The DailyMail says Ouija board sales have increased by more than 300% among teens and young adults since 2014. The boards are quickly becoming a top seller in toy stores in the United States and around the world.

Doubters beware.

Satanist Aleister Crowley was proud of his homosexual behavior, drunkenness and drug use. He secluded himself with the Ouija board in 1904. By Crowley’s own account, while using the Ouija board three successive days beginning April 8, 1904, he began writing down a prophetic text from a discarnate entity which announced a new spiritual teaching for mankind superseding the Abrahamic religions. What he heard dictated from the shadowy presence behind him, whom he believed to be his spirit guide Aiwass, resulted in the three chapters of verse known as The Book of the Law. Crowley says he believed that this being was his Holy Guardian Angel he identifies later as the Christian Devil or Satan. Speaking of worship for this Holy Guardian Angel Crowley writes, “That religion they call Christianity; the devil they honor they call God. I accept these definitions, as a poet must do, if he is to be at all intelligible to his age, and it is their God and their religion that I hate and will destroy.”

Through his use of a Ouija Board, Aleister Crowley writes in his book, SATANIC EXTRACTS, the board gave him the Oath of Fealty and the Pledge, which are taken by Satanist and Witches today, along with the Law of Thelema (the John 3:16 for Satanists):

The Oath of Fealty

I bind my blood in Satan’s hands,

All this that lieth betwixt my hands

To the, the Beast, and they control,

I pledge me, body, mind, and soul.

I swear to work my Work abhorred,

Careless of all but one reward,

The pleasure of the Devil our Lord.

Law of Thelema

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Love is the law, love under (one’s own) will.”

Society reflects this foundational teaching of Crowley and Satanists. Do whatever you want (will). If you will it to be okay, then for you it is not wrong, regardless what the Biblical teachings are. If you will abortion is right for you, then it is not wrong. If you believe it is okay to be homosexual or transgender, then it is not a sin for you. Do whatever you will. Therefore, they can say, “Who are you or who is your God to tell me what is right or wrong” or “Do not tell me what the Old Testament says. I will that I am not under its teachings.”

Aleister Crowley is not alone. American authors, such as Stephanie Myers of the Twilight novels and movies, speak about demonic influences and the Ouija boards guidance in her writings.

Twilight is a series of four vampire-themed fantasy romance novels. They chart a period in the life of an out of place sophomore teenage girl named Isabella "Bella" Swan, who moves to Forks, Washington, and falls in love with a 108-year-old, but frozen at 17, vampire named Edward Cullen. The story is about their intoxicating infatuation for each other and the consequences of a lustful vampire/mortal romance.

The original title of Twilight was “Corpse,” but the publisher changed it to make it more appealing. The strategy that Satan and his devils wield against you and I to make what God has called an abomination and sin, look good and non-threatening. Much of the content of Twilight is in opposition to Biblical Scriptures. That is not surprising when you consider what the author, Stephanie Meyer, says about the writing of Twilight.

Meyer says she first “received” the story of Twilight in a dream on June 2, 2003. The visionous trance she had of a vampire and mortal as lovers compelled her to start writing the story immediately. She says she could not resist the drive to write down what was being dictated to her (Sound familiar?). J.K Rowlings, author of Harry Potter, speaks of a similar scenario [, 08-28-2008].

It is important to note the trance state Meyer talks about. She writes about calling up the spirits of the books characters while in trance states. "I'd hear the characters say things… so I was scribbling on the corners of envelopes and napkins, anything I could get my hands on so I wouldn't forget."[, 08-28-2008]

Meyer’s fictional character Edward took on the “terrifying” form of “real” spirit when he leapt from the pages of her saga and communicated with her in dreams and an Ouija board. She says the vampire Edward would visit her in the night. She says, “We had (these) conversations and he was terrifying” [TIME Magazine, 11-2009].

Conversations with demonic entities and frightening dream visitations by spirits are all part of occult communication, which are rooted in Meyers Mormon faith, which allows for communication with the so-called “the dead.”

Within three months, Meyer had the entire novel written. Within six-months, it had been dreamed, dictated, written, and readied for publishing. In the realm of writing such books, authors and publishers would say that was a miracle!

Unfortunately, many churches and Christian organizations downplay the reality of the supernatural war being waged by “dead” spirits and neglect the reality of abusive spiritual warfare by demonic cronies. Christians MUST learn to abide in Christ’s Holy Spirit and know Him through His word to discern error from truth, and engage in the “good fight” all Christians are called to fight. Christ followers must WARN against rather than encouraging occult books and films like Twilight and Harry Potter, whose authors, by their own admission received their writings through demonic influences and the use of an Ouija board. For too long, Christians have placed what the world admires before what God requires. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness…. Doom to you who think you're so smart, who hold such a high opinion of yourselves!”(Isaiah 5:20-21)

The media and powers of darkness have done an exceptional job distorting God’s truth. For many, the concept of truth is based on one’s affections. Truth rests in programmed acceptance of a world-view that is contrary to the Christ-centered world view of the Bible. Countless have accepted a certain style of music, taste in movies, cultural standards and skewed thought processes which have tainted what is accepted as right and wrong — “Do as thou wilt.” The result is a Christian community that is confused, accepting what God has deemed a sinful disgrace. The God of the Bible would never use channeling through spirits, vampires, sexual tension, lust, character worship and teenage romance to spread the Christian message of morality.

I say all this because of the stronghold the Ouija board had on my family. It was not until the Ouija board was destroyed and my sister’s drug use ended, that God could work through people and circumstances to bring about the life change we so desperately needed.
