God's Promises for You

September 14, 2015

Philippians 2:14 & 15 (NKJV)
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

1 Peter 2:1 - 5 (NKJV)
Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

You, as I, profess to be believers and confess often Jesus Christ as our Lord and as our Savior; yet you, as I, do not always have our light shinning brightly, but in Jesus we always have hope because He always looks forward urging us to embrace the upward call on our life (Philippians 3:14) and He is always by our side, ready to pick us up when we stumble and it gives Him great joy to present us faultless before His Father at the end of our earthly journey (Jude 24)

In His strength we can continually change for the better and in His strength we can be a positive difference in this world (Philippians 4:13)

2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 (NKJV)
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

John 15:7 & 8 (NKJV)
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

The Word of God works and is beneficial to both our lives and the lives of those around us

Abba, Father may we feed daily on Your word, may our hearts be stuffed and overflowing with Your truth, may the light of Your love shine brightly in us, and all around us see You in us; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.
