God's Promises for You

October 17, 2015

Joshua 5:14 (NKJV)
So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to His servant?"

Joshua was preparing to lead the army of Israel into a strategic and challenging battle and God sent him help because Joshua had a humble heart

Humble yourself before God and He will lift you up (James 4:10) and He will exalt you (1 Peter 5:7)

Matthew 28:39 (NKJV)
He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."

Jesus knew the immense pain the sacrifice would bring, He was well aware that all of the horrific evil that ever was and ever would be would be absorbed by His purity, but He also knew the undeniable beauty of God's Promise that all who would believe in Him would live forever in the presence of God and be righteous in His sight

We also know that no evil on this earth can derail His Promise, we are His forever children, humble children, the fulfillment of His will, the evidence of His love, forgiveness, and grace; the pains of this world are brief and minuscule in the forever promise of our Father

Acts 9:6a (NKJV)
So he (Saul becoming Paul), trembling and astonished, said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?"

John 4:34 (NKJV)
But He said to them, "My food (all we will ever need on this earth, provision, protection, health) is to do the work of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work."

There is an upward call on the lives of us all (Philippians 3:14) and when we heed that call God's blessings are upon us

Purpose yourself this day to be about God's work, to implement His will into your daily activity and see if He will not open the windows of heaven and overflow you with His blessings and stand between you and the evils of this world) Malachi 3:10 & 11

Abba, Father we come to worship You, we come to seek Your face, we come to know You, we come to be Your children, we come to do Your work, we come to implement Your will, we come to love You, and we come to shatter the darkness of this world with Your love and forgiveness; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
