God's Promises for You

June 27, 2016

John 4:34 (NKJV)
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work."

Our Spiritual food is to do the will of God and to complete His work

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

Romans 12:1 & 2 (NKJV)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I once heard a young Pastor say what has stuck in my spirit for many years, "There is no neutral position in this scripture, we are either being conformed to this world or our minds are being renewed by God's Holy Word." Each day, all day, we get to choose, and as we make correct choices we prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Luke 15:24 (NKJV)
For this My son was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

We come alive when our Father's Word is in our heart, we are found by Him when we acknowledge His Son Jesus and confess our forever love for Him

Abba, Father may we daily be about Your work, may with humble obedience to Your Word may we always seek You first, may we be continually renewed as we embrace Your Word, and may we face the world with boldness confident in the knowledge that You never give up on us; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
