God's Promises for You

August 18, 2015

1 Samuel 30:6 (NKJV)
Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

When things are going well it is easy to call on God, but David's world was suddenly turned upside down and  he had to dig deep within himself and gather the strength to call upon His Father God; David was able to do this because from his youth he had systematically built a strong spiritual base within himself, the lion, the bear, the giant and on an on, David knew God's name and David daily set his love upon His Father (Psalm 91:14 - 16), David knew that there was only one place to look for help in times of trouble and that was UP! Read the rest of 1 Samuel 30 and you will discover as did David that your Father God is your ever present help in times of trouble

Daniel 3:16 - 18 (NKJV)
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, " O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.

In John 3:16 gives you and all who believe in Him a promise of everlasting life; just as did Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, today and every day we must chose to worship the one true God, our Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Daniel 3:25 (NKJV)
"Look!" he answered, "I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."

In Matthew 28:20 Jesus tells us, "I am with you always" and in Matthew 14:31 Jesus questions Peter, "Why did you doubt?" - In good times and bad times our purpose must be to always look up, never doubting, confident that Jesus is always with us, always our Lord, and always our Savior

Abba, Father You are our helper and we will never fear, Jesus has defeated the world and all of its evil, man can do nothing to us (John 16:33 and Hebrews 13:6); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
