God's Promises for You

August 15, 2016

God our Father speaks through Moses, His humble servant, to His beloved family

Deuteronomy 28:1 & 2 (NKJV)
"Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments that I command you today, the the LORD your God will set you high above above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you,  because you obey the voice of the Lord your God."

Joshua, who 40 years earlier, spoke these words, "The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey. Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them."  But the people did rebel in fear and Joshua and his friend Caleb were forced to suffer the indignity of wandering aimlessly in the dessert with a bunch of  fearful nay sayers

Read below how his Father encourages and strengthens him with His promise

Joshua 1:8 & 9 (NKJV)
"This Book of the Law shall not  depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Malachi 3:10 - 12 (NKJV)
"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts,"If I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your  ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field," says the LORD of hosts, "And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land," says the LORD of hosts.

The Apostle Paul said it this way:

"Know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we think or ask according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

And then Jesus sums it up with a huge exclamation point!

John 15:5 (NKJV)
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

And Jesus adds this wonderful promise

John 15:7 & 8 (NKJV)
"If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you  bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

Abba, Father You are our Loving Father and we are Your humble, obedient and beloved children, You gave us Jesus and "Follow Me!" He said and then He added, "I will give you another Helper, our Holy Spirit, who will reside in us, who will guide us in all truth, who will tell us of things to come, who will walk beside us as we journey through life, who will keep us from stumbling, because it gives Him great joy to welcome us home faultless at the end of our earthly journey, so that the world will be assured that we are His disciples;" it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
