God's Promises for You

August 12, 2015

3 John 2 - 4 (NKJV)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

1 John 5:20 (NKJV)
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the  truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is the Truth - He is our Promise from God

Abba, Father Your Son Jesus came that we might have life, life abundant, and life eternal (John 3:16 and John 10:10), may we always follow in His steps walking in a manner pleasing to You, knowing His love, knowing You, being filled with Your fullness (Colossians 1:10 and Ephesians 3:19); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

God's Promises for You

1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18 (NKJV)
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

James 1:2 - 4 (NKJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Abba, Father Your Son Jesus spoke these words, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world," (John 16:33), and the Apostle John proclaimed that we overcome the world by our faith and our belief that Jesus is Your Son (1 John 5:4 & 5), thus it is with joy filled and thankful hearts that we Your  beloved children come before You our Father praying in the name of Your Son and our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Amen.

1 Corinthians 2:12 - 16 (NKJV)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive these things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

John 16:13 (NKJV)
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you in all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you of things to come."

Abba, Father thank You for giving us Your Spirit, the Spirit of truth, who dwells with us and in us (John 14:16 & 17); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Palm 1:1 - 3 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Abba, Father when I arose and came to You, when I was still a great way off, You saw me and had compassion, and ran and fell on my neck and kissed me, I was Your son who was dead but is now alive, I was Your son who was lost but has now been found (Luke 15:20 & 24), I love You because You first loved me (1 John 4:19), we are family (Romans 8:14 - 17); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Acts 2:38 & 39 (NKJV)
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

Acts 2:46 & 47 (NKJV)
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all people. And the Lord added daily to the church those who were being saved.

Abba, Father You are long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9); may we Your humble, obedient, and beloved children draw many to Your family so that all will be counted on that final judgement day (Revelation 20:15); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Jeremiah 17:7 & 8 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is in the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; bu its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of the drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Abba, Father how awesome it is that we being rooted and grounded in Your love that You dwell in our hearts (Ephesians 3:17) and we know that You are able to provide our every need according to Your riches in glory by Your Son and our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19); it is in His glorious name that we rejoice and pray. Psalm 103:1 - 5 (NKJV)

Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from  destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

We serve a mighty God who, by the way, is our Father, who forgives, who heals, who redeems, who crowns, who satisfies, and who renews His obedient and faithful children, these are not just words in a book, they are life and life more abundantly (John 10:10), they are God's Promises for you

Abba Father we bow before You confident in Your promise, You are the LORD our God, our fear replaced by faith, we stand strong and tall, in Your strength nothing is impossible (Philippians 4:13); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

 John 15:11 (NKJV)

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."

What a wonderful promise from God - He wants each of us to be filled with the Joy of Jesus; what would our world be like if all of us went around with the pure joy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ overflowing from us as we journeyed through life

Abba Father my prayer today is that tomorrow and each day thereafter all who see me will see the Joy of Jesus in me; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that I pray. Amen

1 Samuel 30:6 (NKJV)

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

Again as you pray take your eyes off of what you see and allow your heart to be filled with the promises of Your Father who says He will exalt you (1 Peter 5:6) and He will lift you up (James 4:10) as you come before Him with a humble and teachable spirit

Abba Father we have set our love upon You, we know Your name and we receive Your promise, You will be with us in trouble and your will deliver us and honor us (Psalm 91:14 - 16); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen

1 Corinthians 6:19 & 20 (NKJV)

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Think about this, when we said yes to Jesus, when we confessed with our mouth what we believe in our heart (Romans 10:9), that Jesus is our Lord and our Savior, that He is the Son of God, and that He lives, we are adopted into His family and He places Himself in each of us in the person of the Holy Spirit to guide us in His truth; all that is left for us to do is to LISTEN and OBEY

Abba Father we thank You for Your Son Jesus who when He had completed His earthly journey lives forever seated at Your right hand (Hebrews 1:3) and thank You for Your Holy Spirit who dwells within us forever to guide us in Your truth (John 14:16 & 17 and John 16:13); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen

July 26, 2015

Psalm 51:9 & 10 (NKJV)

Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

David cried out to God

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

And God answered David and each of us

Abba Father You gave us Jesus, Your Son, the perfect unblemished Lamb so that we might become the righteous of You in Him, forever to be Your beloved children, joint heirs with Jesus to Your kingdom; it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, and our Healer Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen

Philippians 4:11 - 13 (NKJV)
Not that i speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am in, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have both learned to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Colossians 3:12 - 14 (NKJV)
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another; if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

1 John 4:17 - 19 (NKJV)
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

John 13:34 & 35 (NKJV)
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

John 15:7 & 8 (NKJV)
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples."

1 John 3:23 (NKJV)
And this is His commandment; that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another as He gave us commandment.

John 14:15 (NKJV)
"If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Abba, Father may we fully comprehend and know Your love for us and may we walk daily in Your love, the love of Jesus evident in all we say and do, so that we may be filled with the completeness of You and all will know that we are Your obedient disciples; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 3:17 - 20 (NKJV)
That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.

Abba, Father may we be rooted and grounded in Your love that we may comprehend and receive the fullness of You confident that You are able to do all and by faith believe that in You all things are possible; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Philippians 4:6 & 7 (NKJV)
Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In the world today there are many, many things which might give us cause to worry, but why not just give it all to our Father

1 Peter 5:6 & 7 (NKJV)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time; casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

The exact middle of the bible gives us this sage advice:

Psalm 118:8 (NKJV)
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

And in Hebrews we have this wise instruction:

Hebrews 13:6 (NKJV)
So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

Abba, Father we will trust in You with all our heart and we will not lean on our understanding, in all our ways we will  acknowledge You and as You direct we will follow (Proverbs 3:5 & 6); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

God our Father, the Creator of all, is always with us, always by our side, always able to come to our aid - what a comforting thought

Ephesians 6:10 & 11 (NKJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

"I (Jesus) am with you always" Matthew 28:20

Abba, Father it is by our faith that we overcome the evils of this world (1 John 5:4) for greater are You who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4 & 5 (NKJV)
Love is patient and is kind: love does not envy: love does not parade itself, is not puffed up.

John 13:34 & 35 (NKJV)
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all we know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

1 Corinthians 13:5 & 6 (NKJV)
Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth.

1 John 4:10 - 12 (NKJV)
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

Love cancels fear

1 Corinthians 13:7 & 8a (NKJV)
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three: but the greatest of these
is love.

Know the love of Jesus - Be filled with the fullness of God

Abba, Father You so loved us that You gave and you continue to give, may we, Your beloved children do the same; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Mark 10:6 - 9 (NKJV)
"But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.  For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

One man, One woman, married for life

Romans 1:26 & 27 (NKJV)
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Notice God allowed, He will not go against our will, even though it pains Him greatly to see those He loves destroy themselves

1 Corinthians 6:9 - 11 (NKJV)
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified,  but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

It would be easy to cast our venom at our Supreme Court, but before we do each of us might look long and hard into the mirror, we might find plenty of blame among us who call ourselves by the name of Jesus

Ephesians 5:22 - 23 (NKJV)
Wives submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

The answer is not money and it certainly is not government, the time is now for men who are called by His name to fall on their faces before God and pray

Abba, Father Your Apostle Paul urged us to press forward toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14), Your daughter Mary proclaimed, "Let it be to me according to Your word," (Luke 1:38), Your Apostle Paul also said, "Lord, what do you want me to do?" (Acts 9:6), and Your Son Jesus said, "I do the will of Him who sent Me and I finish His work." (John 4:34), I pray that all men who are called by Your name will humble themselves and pray and commit themselves to Your purpose, Your direction, and Your will as so aptly stated by Paul, Mary, and Jesus; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

Romans 8:1 & 2 (NKJV)
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do no walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

1 John 5:5 (NKJV)
Who is he who overcomes the world? It is he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God!

John 10:10b (NKJV)
"I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

Abba, Father thank You that in You we have freedom, in You we overcome the world and all of it's evil and in Your Son we have life abundant set above the destruction that surrounds us, You have given us Your Spirit who guides us in all truth and ensures us of life forever free as Your children, joint heirs with Jesus to Your kingdom; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

James 5:16 (NKJV)
Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
And my God shall supply all your need need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Abba, Father we can come boldly before Your throne of grace confident that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16), confident we are in You that when we pray according to Your will, You hear us, and because we know You hear us when we ask, we know that we receive what we have asked of You (1 John 5:14 & 15 & Mark 11:24); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.
