1 Timothy 2:5 (NKJV)
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Romans 6:23 (NKJV)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 2:1 & 2 (NKJV)
My little children, these things I write to you so that you may not sin. And if  anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

There is a remedy for all the ills of life and His name is Jesus Christ

Abba, Father let us come boldly before Your throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior and our Advocate Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

1 Peter 2:9 & 10 (NKJV)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Who once were not a people but are now a people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Ephesians 1:3 - 5 (NKJV)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

Chosen by God - His special people - Adopted into His family

Abba, Father You are our Father (Matthew 6:9), we are Your children (Romans 8:16), we are righteous in Your sight (2 Corinthians 5:21), and we are called to Your high purpose (Philippians 3:14); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we rejoice and pray. Amen.

John 2:5 (NKJV)
His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it."

What a wonderful piece of advice, whatever Jesus says to you, with no doubt in your heart, with no question in your mind, just do it

John 13:34 (NKJV)
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another."

Mark 11:24 (NKJV)
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Luke 22:19 (NKJV)
And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of Me."

Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit."

Abba, Father we are so thankful that You gave us Jesus, He is the way, He is the truth, and He is the life, life abundant, and life eternal (John 3:16, John 10:10, and John 14:8); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray and believe. Amen.

Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

March 20, 2015

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

In the center of the bible is this scripture, "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." Psalm 118:8 (NKJV)

Put your trust in the One who spoke our world into existence, who turned to Himself and said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness," (Genesis 1:26a), who told Moses, "I AM," (Exodus 3:14) and instructed Paul & Jude to tell us that He is able (Ephesians 3:20 & Jude 24)

Abba, Father, our Father, You who provide and You who protect (Matthew 6:11 & 13), You who loves us and gave us Jesus (John 3:16), and You who made us Your children (Romans 8:15 - 17), it is You in whom we place our trust; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I remember in my early walk with Jesus (actually more of a stumble, fall, and crawl) and I would be whining to some Christian brother about some seemingly impossible situation I was facing and he would respond with the above scripture - it would really tick me off

Philippians 4:11 & 12 (NKJV)
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in what ever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Learning to base your happiness, your self worth, your contentment on your relationship with Jesus does not come easy, but when you do begin to look at life through His love, His forgiveness, His joy, His peace, His strength and His truth, the day to day issues of life become what they truly are - insignificant

Abba, Father we will count it all joy, we will stretch our faith, and we will be complete in You, lacking nothing (James 1:2 - 4); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

John 15:11 (NKJV)
"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."

Habakkuk 3:18 (NKJV)
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Abba, Father we make a joyful shout to You, daily we serve You with gladness and come before You with singing, You are our LORD, You are our God, and we are Your people, we enter Your gates with thankful hearts and into Your courts singing Your praise, for You are good, Your mercy is everlasting and Your truth endures to all generations (Psalm 100); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

1 John 4:4 (NKJV)
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he is in the world.

Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

What an uplifting word - He that is above all - He who is greatest of all - lives within us and is the power that works in us

Abba, Father we are more than conquerors through You who love us (Romans 8:37) and we overcome the world because we believe that Jesus is Your Son (1 John 5:5); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8a (NKJV)
Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely. does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not  rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love never fails.

Colossians 3:14 (NKJV)
But above all these things put on love which is the bond of perfection.

1 John 4:18a (NKJV)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear.

Our flesh screams out, it cannot be that simple, evil lurks in every corner, he is just plain mean and hateful, she is deceptive, a liar and a cheat, you can trust God, but people you must be continually on guard against

Abba, Father the Apostle Paul instructed us to know the love of Jesus so that we would be filled with the fullness of You (Ephesians 3:19) and Your Son Jesus said this, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another," (John 13:34), it is that simple, Jesus is love and the world must see His love in us; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 1:7 - 14 (NKJV)
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

God loves you - His plan is for you is to be His beloved child and for you to be with Him forever - And His plan gives Him great pleasure

Colossians 1:13 & 14 (NKJV)
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of  the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:19 - 22 (NKJV)
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet He has now reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and above reproach in His sight.

In Jesus we are made perfect for our Father

Abba, Father because we are in Christ we have been created new and have become the righteousness of You in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17 - 21) who receives exceeding joy when He delivers us faultless before Your presence (Jude 24); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Proverbs 3:5 & 6 (NKJV)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Stretch your faith, trust your Father, believe in His Son, He has a plan for your life and it is a good plan (Jeremiah 29:11)

Psalm 1:1 - 3 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.

Choose your friends carefully, Jesus instructs us to walk by His side and to speak only His words and promises that when we do God will give us the desires of our heart, our lives will glorify our Father, we will prosper in all we do, and we will be known as His disciples (John 15:7 & 8)

Abba, Father before the world began You chose us to be holy and without blame in love and predestined us to adoption as sons by Your Son Jesus Christ to Yourself according to the good pleasure of Your will (Ephesians 1:4 & 5), now that is a good plan; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

The Holy Spirit

John 14:16 & 17 (NKJV)
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give your another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."

John 14:26 (NKJV)
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."

John 16:13 (NKJV)
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."

The Holy Spirit your God connection -  He is your divine Helper - He dwells with you and is in you - He is your teacher - He helps you remember the teachings of Jesus -  He guides you into the truth and He tells you of things to come

Abba, Father how awesome You are, You have given us a Helper to be in us and with us, as we read and study Your word He guides us and teaches us Your truth, when we have question or doubt He tells us Your truth, He reveals to us to Your plan, your purpose for our being, He helps us know the magnitude of Your love for us and draws us closer to You; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

A lady was lying in a hospital bed barely alive, her family had been advised that hospice was the next step, and then a man entered the room and knelt beside her bed, and holding her feeble hand, he whispered these words into her ear, "Please repeat these words with me, 'I am strong in the Lord!' " and together they began to say those words, "I am strong in the Lord!" At first the voice of the lady was very, very feeble, but as they continued together her voice grew stronger and later that day she smiled at the man and said to him, "You can go now, my faith is restored and I will continue to repeat, 'I am strong in the Lord!'" And several days later the lady walked out of the hospital not to go to hospice but to resume her life and for many more years she was a testimony that "She would live and not die and declare the works of the LORD." (Psalm 118:17)

Matthew 8:5 - 7 (NKJV)
Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him pleading with Him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented." And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."

Each of us has the opportunity to be a centurion for someone else, God has equipped each of to do great and mighty things in His kingdom (John 14:12) and in His strength (Philippians 4:13) and in our belief (Mark 9:23) all things are possible

Abba, Father life on this earth is not a walk of peace and joy as is Your will, for all too many our enemy has done his best to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) and for many, many evil lurks at every turn as the devil walks about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:7), but we in You have the ability to stand in the gap, to turn the tide of evil into the awareness of Your truth, to shine Your light into the darkness of the world, to convey Your love, Your forgiveness, Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope to all You send our way, we can answer Your upward call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14); it is in the name of our Lord, our Savior, our Guide to life abundant Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

1 Samuel 30:6 (NKJV)
Now David was greatly distressed, for  the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

Strength - Strengthens - Strengthened - Make no mistake our help comes from above - In times of trouble - Look up!

Abba, Father it is so awesome that we can come boldly before Your throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16), because we have set our love upon You, because we know Your name, You will deliver us from trouble, You will set us on high, You will honor us, You will satisfy us with long life and we will see Your salvation (Psalm 91:14 -16); it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We have a choice - Listen to His promise

God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9

Jesus is able to keep you from stumbling as you journey through life - Jude 24

Jesus is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask of think according to the power that He has placed within you - Ephesians 3:20

God overflows his obedient children with His bountiful blessings - Deuteronomy 28:2

Abba, Father we look to Your Son Jesus Christ the beginning and the end of our faith as we run to completion our race of faith (Hebrews 12:1 & 2), daily rejoicing - You are our Father and we are Your obedient family; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

2 Timothy 2:3 - 5 (NKJV)
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9)

Abba, Father may our hearts be receptive and our minds be clear, You gave us Jesus, not to condemn, but to save us with this wonderful promise that all who believe in Him would never perish but would live forever in Your presence (John 3:16 & 17); it is in the glorious name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Matthew 18:19 & 20 (NKJV)
"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

As born again spirit filled believer's in Jesus Christ we have a choice when we are in need - look at these promises

Daniel 3:25 - Jesus promises to be with you in the midst of the problem

John 16:13 - The Holy Spirit promises to guide us into all truth and tell us things to come

Hebrews 4:16 - We can come boldly before His throne and obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need

Romans 15:5,6 & 13 (NKJV)
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:17 - 19 (NKJV)
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know the hope His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

Abba, Father Your Son commanded these words, "That we love one another as He has loved us," (John 13:34) so that we know we are filled with His Joy, His peace, His forgiveness, His understanding and His truth because we are Your beloved children, joint heirs with Jesus; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

Philippians 4:6 & 7 (NKJV)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication; with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

John 16:33 (NKJV)
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

He who created  us in His own image (Genesis 1:27), He who created the earth on which we live (Genesis 1:1), and He who adopted us to be His beloved family (Ephesians 1:4  and Romans 8: 15 - 17) gives us His peace

Abba, Father we love You because You loved us and gave us Jesus the propitiation for sins (1 John 4:10) so that we could live in Your peace; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus in whom we have peace (Luke 2:14) that we pray. Amen.

James 4:10 (NKJV)
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

February 27, 2015

1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Jesus set the "Humble" bar high when He instructed us to do as He had done and wash each others feet (John 13:14 & 15) - God told David that because he had set his love upon Him and because David knew God's name that He would deliver David and set him on high and honor him (Psalm 91:14 - 16)

Abba, Father may our lives imitate Jesus, in complete humility may we love others as He loves us, may we serve others as He has served us, and may we give as He has given (Matthew 20:28 & Ephesians 5:1 & 2), confident that You are our strength and the lifter of our head; it is in the name of our Lord and our Savior Christ Jesus that we pray. Amen.

James 3:13 - 18 (NKJV)
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8a (NKJV)
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

Abba, Father may our lives bear the fruit of Your Spirit (Galatians 5:22 - 24) and may those who know us know that we know the truth because we know Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6) and it is in His wonderful and awesome name of Jesus Christ that we pray. Amen.
